Itinerary:
Wednesday
Depart Leyland at 09:30am for the journey to Cambridge with a suitable lunch stop en-route, arrive to a warm welcome with tea/coffee and mince pies while your case is taken to your room. Why not relax and take a dip in the pool before joining us for dinner.
Thursday (Christmas Eve)
Following breakfast today's excursion takes us to Ely, one of England's smallest cities, take in the stunning cathedral (used as a filming location in The Crown, it stood in for Westminster Abbey for the wedding of the Queen and Prince Philip), embrace its 17th century atmosphere and rich history. Arrive back at the hotel early afternoon, with time to relax and enjoy the leisure facilities. This evening, we enjoy a 3-course dinner and evening entertainment. For those wishing to attend midnight mass details of nearby church services will be available from reception, there will be tea/coffee and mince pies waiting for you on your return.
Friday (Christmas Day)
Merry Christmas to all our Avatravellers! Let us know at breakfast if you heard any jingling bells last night! Enjoy a day to relax today starting with a hearty, leisurely breakfast, this afternoon enjoys a welcome glass of fizz followed by a traditional plated Christmas Day Lunch, later tea/coffee and Christmas cake will be served during the King's speech. This evening's meal, if you have room, is a relaxed affair offering casual buffet dinner.
Saturday (Boxing Day)
After a leisurely breakfast join the coach for a visit to the historic city of Cambridge allowing time to explore and obtain lunch. Return to the hotel early afternoon to relax and perhaps use of the hotel's leisure facilities, this evening join us for a 3-course dinner.
Sunday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
